The talented Sophie Houlden has again flexed her skills and brings us her latest Unity project – the aptly titled BoxGame! A really awesome conceptual platform / puzzler, boxgame sees you attempted to find a door by navigating the cubic map. Really enjoy this game, feels like a homage / blend of Portal and Braid, great stuff!
Andrew Gotow, Unity & Maya developer has provided this excellent tutorial to setting up a car in Unity. Whilst there have been tutorials on this in the past, currently the Unity site lacks its former ‘Race Demo’ example project – this more than fills that void, a big thanks to Andrew for providing this to the community, Cheers!
Unity head honcho Nicholas Francis is interviewed in this article by Casualgaming.biz. In it he talks about the development of unity, and their commitment to providing cutting edge web based gaming, a good read for those interested in the focus of the Unity Tech crowd!
A truly gorgeous looking game has popped up in development with Unity. Geniusly titled ‘The Destruction of the World by a Violent Robot Zombie Plague’ the game is a 2.5D platformer that looks unlike anything you’ve seen done with Unity, and certainly looks – and plays – fantastically on the web.
