Awesome Unity game TumbleDrop now on iPhone!
Wrote about this back last year when I first heard that Hayden Scott Baron’s excellent TumbleDrop was making its way onto iPhone after massive acclaim on the web player platform.
A simple and adorable platformer that’s bound to see your other half wrestling your iPhone or iPod touch from your clutches, the game involves you guiding a Pink Star to safety by removing yellow puzzle pieces, allowing him to fall on safe ground – sounds simpler than it is, as removing pieces slowly reveals an enjoyably infuriating Jenga-like element as the pile of pieces the star rests upon begin to topple – or tumble should I say, and indeed drop.
Enough of my rambling, have a look at the video then go buy the game via the app store for only £1.19, you won’t regret it, its definitely the best game I have on my iPod and I’m even happier its made with Unity, congrats Hayden!

i read at develop that he made some of the more complex objects with
blender, yet it all looks 2d to me. how does blender support 2d physics?
or is it 3d objects there, i just havent seen a tutorial on a 2d project any
where and im not that good on my own at unity.
The colliders in this game are all 3D meshes. Unity supports compound colliders for complex shapes such as these. The 2D graphics are just an illusion, everything is a 3D object really!
