New Unity Teaching Program – Unity3DStudent.com
As some of you may know I teach Unity as part of my job and part of my recent research has been focused on developing a new method of teaching Unity to beginners. Having collaborated with a number of other Unity tutors worldwide in critiquing my previous approach to teaching, I have developed a new modular approach which combines small modules of information, and challenges that bring what you have learned together.
I am currently appealing to the Unity community to take a look at the early beta version of the site and give me feedback via the comments and suggestions parts of the site. Anything you’d like to see added – or you think works or doesn’t work in an educational sense – feel free to let me know!

Hello Will,

Alberto
Doing good off to a good start.
Don’t know if this unity 3 you are using or not, but if not be ready to convert them over. Also put them in oder of how the students learn. But you probably are keeping that in mind already….
Perhaps a Unity “Community portal” built into your web site where other community users can submit possible tutorials to you to be OK’ed.
Hey Brad, thanks for your thoughts, would you mind copy-posting this on the suggestions area of the site itself? I’m trying to get dialog started there… Yes this is using Unity 3.0, I’ve been demoing some of the new features on vimeo.com/unity3d in case you didn’t check them out yet. The modules aren’t necessarily meant to be in an order students learn, but ideally the introductory videos should be watched first, then its up to students to look at modules that interest them or pick a challenge and then just watch the required modules.
Hi Will, *LOVED* your book and read it cover-to-cover. Really helped me dive into Unity3D. Have gone through all of the Essentials and working my way through the Beginner tutorials and really enjoy the video lessons. One can “see” what is happening on screen rather than having to read about it. More sensory = better learning. Kudos!
Thanks Monica, let me know how you get on with the challenges, thanks for the comment ^_^
This is fantastic! keep up the good work this is amazing!
Dear Will:
I have just take a look on the site, and I can say it’s AWSOME. Thank you so much for your efforts, and keep up the great work.
