EA & Unity Technologies get hitched!
In yet another fantastic piece of news from Unity’s dealings with major leaguer Electronic Arts, it has now been announced that EA will have a more official partnership, making first usage of a new licensing agreement that UT are calling an ‘Enterprise’ License – giving all EA studios unlimited access to all Unity platform deployments as part of a multi-year agreement.
EA first made use of Unity in 2008, developing the awesome Tiger Woods online game which took the highly popular franchise to the browser, since then, work has been going on behind the scenes to ensure that a close relationship between EA and UT was being fostered, as more deployment platforms continue to be added, making Unity an even more invaluable tool for high end developer – publishers such as EA.
Richard Hilleman, VP Chief Creative Director of EA called this deal one of EA’s “deepest commitments”, which I’m sure he intended to sound sincere rather than odd – taking lead from Hilleman’s deep commitment UT’s King of Cool David Helgason said that “Unity’s ability to straddle from the highest-end productions to the littlest development teams is something we’re immensely proud of” in an interview with Market Wire. With all this deep commitment and straddling we can be sure that EA and Unity will continue to make sweet music together.

Why is Unity the girl in the pic? o.O
