BAFTA and Abertay combine to produce Unity schools bundle

Bafta young game designerThis excellent package by Dundee’s Abertay University and sponsored by BAFTA is an excellent way to get young children interested in game development at school.
As Unity continues to bring game development to the masses, its great to see that someone is considering the needs of younger users. Titled Games Unpacked, the bundle of Unity assets is designed as a series of ready made game modules that users can piece together to make simple gameplay. The BAFTA website provides a tutorial and links to all the assets you need to get started with game development.
Having seen the pack in action at Dundee’s Dare to be Digital Proto Play event, I can confirm that this is a highly useful tool to get younger users involved with game development – the kids at the event were having a great time and learning very quickly with the help of the pack and student helpers on hand from Abertay.
